Bishop Smith first general | Pembroke Daily Observer

Bishop Smith Catholic High School captured first place general on the Grade 10/11 badminton match held not too long ago at Fellowes High School.

Bishop Smith completed the day with 71 factors, forward of second place Opeongo High School, which earned 50 factors and third place Fellowes, which accrued 22 factors.

On the aggressive aspect, in boys singles Bishop Smith’s Andrew Plazek was first, adopted by Caelen Barber of Fellowes in second and Jeanne-Lajoie’s Jeffrey McCollough in third.

In ladies singles Bishop Smith’s Karlina Kerr and Tori Storing, each of Bishop Smith have been first and second respectively, and Mackenzie Community School’s Kelly Ding was third.

Logan Gauthier and Michael Donnelly of Bishop Smith completed first in boys doubles, adopted by Karter Kelly and Lucas Zohr of Opeongo High School second and in third it was Scott Good and Jonathan Peever, additionally from Opeongo.

In ladies doubles, Mallory Gale and Mackennzie Neuman of St. Joseph’s Catholic High School have been first, Alex Zadow and Brianna Zadow have been second and Alison Pecarskie and Megan Sernoskie of Madawaska Valley District High School positioned third.

In the blended doubles, Wyatt Purdon and Kinley Rice of Opeongo completed first, Conrad Cybulskie and Alexis Foley of Bishop Smith have been second and Gabriella McGuire and Dakota Perrin of Jeanne-Lajoie completed third.

On the leisure aspect, in boys singles Nikko Deschamps and Connor Peplinskie, each of Bishop Smith, completed first and second respectively. Bishop Smith was additionally tops in ladies singles with Tara Bradley ending first and Caitlyn Ryan in second.

In boys doubles, John Enright and Adam Wood of Opeongo have been first and Brandon Refuse and Jordan Ehmke of Bishop Smith completed second. In ladies doubles, Jeanne-Lajoie’s and Faith Brennan completed second and Hilary Dick and Olivia Peever have been second.

In the blended doubles, Opeongo’s Alexa Gamache and Tyson Tomasini completed first and Hannah Dubeau and Mitchell Briand of Jeanne-Lajoie completed second.
